A fine design from an exceptional silver maker, Hilliard and Thomason, this silver caddy spoon has a naturalistic twisted tendril handle and a fluted silver gilt bowel decorated with various seashells, ferns and neoclassical scrolls. The handle is decorated with three lily pads, two on the other side of the handle’s junction with the bowl, and one at the end of the handle.

The silver caddy spoon presents H & T, the Lion passant, the Birmingham assay mark, and date letter 'G' for 1855.
