This exceptional silver dragon bowl is chased with panels depicting dragons, bamboo stalks and chrysanthemums, is raised on three dragon-form scrolled legs, was made by ZHUO 卓, an artisan workshop in Canton (now knows as Guangzhou) and was retailed by KL - Kam Long 甘隆 [or Gan Long, in mandarin] in Hong Kong, at around 1900. This Chinese Export bowl on sale is the perfect example of virtuosic execution of complex traditional motifs guided by the English and American taste at the beginning of the 20th century.
