This is a beautiful silver visiting card case with a profusion of foliate and flowers openwork scrolls to both sides. The flip, hinged cover reveals the full set of silver hallmarks. The card case was made by the renowned silversmith Nathaniel Mills in 1842.
The silver presents N. M, the Birmingham assay mark, and date letter “T” for 1842.
